"DNS via Avian Carriers" Looks like a homage to the famous joke RFC (RFC 1149). And it's not April 1st.
DNS should retransmit if no response in 5 seconds, but for avian-carrier transport that's inappropriate — wait at least 72 hours lol
Implementations of DoAC MUST NOT retransmit a query until a minimum of 72 hours has elapsed since the initial dispatch.

Featured in the "fun picks" section of their daily tech digest: the proposal extends RFC 1149 by adding name resolution. They point out that having to write the destination Loft's IP address directly into the message is the key problem — it makes things vulnerable to load balancing and address renumbering.
